Wedding catering at Vallecito Lake
Home base is Blue Spruce Campground, on the lake. Your food is cooked close to your reception and the trailer is not driving up a canyon on your wedding morning. Being at the lake, we plan your service around the afternoon storms instead of being surprised by them: hot plates out before the sky opens.
- Marina, ranch and cabin weddings up Middle Mountain Road — the trailer is built for exactly these.
- The breakfast burrito bar was invented for lake weekends: guests wander down from the cabins in whatever they slept in.
- Mountain weather: we cook rain or snow; the kitchen is enclosed. Guests need somewhere covered to stand. The tent is yours or the venue's to arrange; tell me where it's going and I'll park beside it. If the county closes the road to your venue, call me and we'll work out a plan.
Venue logistics around the lake
Lakeside cabins
Tell me about the road in and where the trailer can park; what I need is a firm, reasonably level spot. We run our own generator, so cabin power is never a factor, and we park it well away from the porch. We arrive well before service to park and set up. I'll give you the exact time for your venue.
Ranches
Ranch driveways run longer and rougher than a cabin road, so tell us about gates, cattle guards or soft ground when you book. The trailer needs a reasonably level spot and a gate wide enough to tow through, and we will confirm your drive works before the day. We arrive well before service here too.
The community hall
A paved lot is the simplest kind of site: no gate width to check. We still arrive well ahead to set up.
