The one nobody plans
Breakfast burrito bar catering
The morning after the wedding, the reunion's last day, the cabin weekend's slow start: the trailer parks, the window opens, and everyone gets a burrito made to order. Guests come down in whatever they slept in and love you for it.
What's on the bar
These come straight off the breakfast board at the lake window. No catering-only mystery menu: if it's on the bar, it's on my board at the lake.
Add the camp sodas, mixed to order, or coffee for the early risers. The full board is on the Vallecito Lake food truck menu.
Where it fits
The morning after a wedding
Your guests are still at the cabins and nobody wants to drive for breakfast. The burrito bar feeds everyone before they head home, and it's the meal people remember. It pairs with a rehearsal dinner and the reception as one wedding weekend booking.
Family reunions
One big breakfast so nobody in the family cooks for thirty people on vacation. Kids get a plain quesadilla or grilled cheese, no upcharge. See private party and reunion catering.
Cabin weekends and groups
Friends' trips, retreats, church and community groups around Vallecito Lake, Bayfield and Durango. The trailer brings its own generator and water, so a campground or a cabin driveway works.
How the morning works
Tell me when your guests will be up and where the trailer can park. We arrive well before service to set up, and I'll give you the exact time for your venue. What I need is a firm, reasonably level spot; the kitchen is enclosed, so we cook rain or snow, but guests need somewhere covered to stand if the weather turns.
Guests walk up to the window, order the burrito they want, and get it hot. We clean up and take everything away with us.
Every burrito bar is priced personally. Send your date and headcount and I'll call you back within one business day to talk it through, or call me at (801) 500-8215.
Burrito bar questions
What goes on the breakfast burrito bar?
The burritos from my breakfast board: the Vallecito and the Carnivore (both with elk), the Carnita, the Sausage and the Basic, plus the Carnita Quesadilla. We pick the lineup together for your group.
Is it made to order?
Yes. The burritos are made to order from the trailer window, so they come out hot instead of sitting in a chafing dish. Coffee is available too.
Can you do vegetarian or gluten-free?
The Basic Burrito (egg, cheese and potato) has no meat in it. Ask about gluten-free tortillas and vegetarian options, and tell me about any allergy; I'll accommodate it to the very best of my ability.
What about kids and picky eaters?
A plain quesadilla or plain grilled cheese is on offer at every event, at no extra charge. Tell me roughly how many kids when you book.
Can we add it to our wedding weekend?
Yes. The burrito bar can be its own booking or part of a wedding weekend with the rehearsal dinner and the reception. I go over pricing on the phone, and I call you back within one business day.
